USB CAMERA · DASHCAM · BYD

One more camera on your BYD,
through the head unit’s USB port.

Want to film the cabin, the windshield or another angle? Plug a regular USB camera (webcam) into the BYD head unit: DashArc detects it, shows it live on your phone and records it with the car’s cameras.

It works with UVC USB cameras, with no driver and nothing to set up in Android.

Live on your phone

In the portal’s live cameras, each USB camera gets its own button next to the picker. In the grid it sits on top, full width, with the car’s four cameras below.

Simple settings

Choose resolution, format (uncompressed or MJPEG) and zoom. The default is already light on the head unit, since recording combines several cameras into one video.

Frequently asked questions

Does any webcam work?

DashArc is built for UVC USB cameras, the standard used by regular webcams. Test yours during the 14-day free trial.

Do I need to grant permission every time?

No. DashArc grants access to the USB camera by itself.

Can I record only the USB camera?

Yes, by choosing to record the USB camera separately.

Tested on DiLink 3 head units running the 13.1.33 system family. Not every feature may be available on your vehicle; features depend on the head unit, firmware and model.
