DASHARC UNLOCKER · DILINK 3

Unlock the head unit.
The rest is automatic.

The DashArc Unlocker is the app we built to enable app installs on your BYD head unit. You install the Unlocker once, and it completes the BYD verification, enables debugging, authorizes ADB and installs DashArc for you.

What the Unlocker does by itself

  • 01BYD verificationWorks out the developer tools password from the head unit's IMEI, fills it in and confirms it.
  • 02Debugging and ADBTurns on USB and Wi-Fi debugging and authorizes the head unit's own local ADB.
  • 03Unlocked installerInstalls the unlocked package installer, so the head unit accepts APKs from then on.
  • 04DashArc installedDownloads and installs DashArc, checks both apps and leaves the screen when it is done.
  1. Download the Unlocker to a USB drive

Download the DashArc Unlocker. Format a USB drive as FAT32 and, at its root, create the folder Third Party Apps 55, keeping the spaces in the name. Copy the Unlocker APK into it.

The number at the end of the folder name is the head unit's country code (55 is Brazil, 52 Mexico, 61 Australia). For other countries, see the code table.

  2. Install the Unlocker on the head unit

Plug the USB drive into the vehicle's data USB port. When the BYD installer asks for a password, enter BYD6125F, select Desbloqueador DashArc and confirm the installation.

  3. Open the app and tap Desbloquear

Open Desbloqueador DashArc on the head unit and tap Desbloquear (Unlock). Grant the requested permissions and allow it to display over other apps.

  4. Turn on accessibility

The app opens the head unit's Accessibility screen. Turn on Desbloqueador DashArc. The unlock starts by itself as soon as the service connects; there is no need to go back to the app.

  5. Wait without touching the screen

The head unit opens the BYD verification, fills in the password, enters the developer tools and returns to the home screen. Download and installation progress is shown on top of the screen. If the head unit asks to allow debugging, tap Allow.

When the notice disappears, DashArc and the package installer are installed and checked.

  6. Set up DashArc

Open DashArc and follow the initial setup: permissions, ADB/RSA authorization and automatic start. To link the car to your account, tap Link account and scan the QR code with your phone.

Something went wrong?

The BYD installer did not open from the USB drive: check the folder name and the FAT32 format. Some firmware versions disable this installer; in that case, see the other ways to prepare the head unit.

The password was filled in but BYD did not continue: set the head unit's date and time correctly and tap Desbloquear again.

The sequence stopped halfway: open the Unlocker. The last status stays on screen, and tapping Desbloquear runs the process again. If the apps are already installed and match the ones on the site, it only checks them and does not reinstall.

What stays on afterwards?

The Unlocker's accessibility service, USB debugging and Wi-Fi ADB stay on. DashArc uses the head unit's local ADB for features such as automatic start and installing updates.

The Unlocker only uses the internet to download DashArc and the package installer.

Your head unit already installs APKs?

Then you do not need the Unlocker: download the DashArc APK and follow the app installation guide.
