DashArc does not stay on the head unit: everything it does is available on your phone, iPhone and Android, and on a computer. When you create your account, tap Install DashArc on your phone and it goes to your home screen like an app.
From your phone you see where the car is, turn on the A/C, open live cameras, watch recordings, follow telemetry and use the head unit as if you were sitting in the car.

BYD cloud commands work with the head unit off. With stay-awake mode, the head unit stays awake with the screen off and live cameras, sentry mode and recordings remain available on your phone.
A direct connection to the car
Your phone talks directly to the car’s head unit: cameras and data go from the vehicle to your device, without a server storing your videos.
Frequently asked questions
Does DashArc have a phone app?
Yes. DashArc runs on your phone: when you create your account, tap Install DashArc on your phone and it goes to your iPhone or Android home screen. On a computer, it opens in the browser.
Do I download it from the App Store or Google Play?
No. The phone version of DashArc installs straight from the portal, in the browser, on iPhone and Android.
Does it work alongside the official BYD app?
Yes, they do not interfere. DashArc can use your BYD account for commands while the car is off and adds what the BYD app lacks: live cameras, recordings, full telemetry and the head unit screen.
Tested on DiLink 3 head units running the 13.1.33 system family. Not every feature may be available on your vehicle; features depend on the head unit, firmware and model.
