Unlock your BYD
for free.

You can unlock your BYD's DiLink head unit for free, with no root and no computer. The DashArc Unlocker is the app we built for it: you install it once and it runs BYD's verification, turns on ADB, opens the APK installer and installs DashArc.

Once the head unit is unlocked, you install whatever apps you want and use DashArc to bring Waze to the cluster, see the cameras on your phone and control the car remotely.

How to unlock, step by step

Download the DashArc Unlocker (free) and copy the APK to a USB drive, into the folder for your head unit's region.
Install the Unlocker on the head unit through BYD's app installer, with the car parked.
Open it and tap Unlock, grant the permissions and enable the DashArc Unlocker under Accessibility.
Done. It runs BYD's verification, turns on ADB, opens the APK installer and installs DashArc.

After unlocking

Once the head unit is unlocked, the DashArc store installs YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, WhatsApp, Instagram and any Google Play app — so passengers can watch with the car in use, even while moving. DashArc also brings Waze to the cluster, shows live cameras on your phone, records dashcam and sentry footage and controls the car remotely.

Frequently asked questions

Is unlocking the BYD really free?

Yes. The DashArc Unlocker charges nothing to unlock the head unit. DashArc has a 30-day free trial; after that the license is optional and paid once.

Do I need a computer or root?

No. The whole process runs on the head unit itself, from a USB drive. No root and no PC.

Is it safe?

The Unlocker only enables app installs; it does not change the car system. Even so, installing third-party apps is at your own risk.

Tested on DiLink 3 head units running the 13.1.33 system family, on a 2026 vehicle. Not yet tested on 2027 models. Installing third-party apps on the head unit is at your own risk; not every feature may be available on your vehicle.

DashArc is an independent app. References to BYD, Waze and Android Auto identify the vehicle platform and integrations; they do not imply partnership or endorsement.
