BYD India — App Sideloading Guide

India-specific guide. The native DiLink 3 USB installer differs substantially from Brazil/Thailand/Indonesia: it uses password 130820 and a narrow package allowlist.

Check the exact IVI family. The 91/130820 rule comes from the analyzed DiLink 3 AftermarketInstallTool; newer strategies can override it.

Check your firmware version. Open Settings → System → Version / Software Details and note the full version, such as 13.1.33.xxxxxxx.x or 13.1.32.xxxxxxx.x. The method varies by firmware, chipset and vehicle; look up the matching combination before proceeding. This guide may not cover every combination.

INSTALLATION METHODS

USB — Third Party Apps 91

India is a special case in the analyzed DiLink 3 configuration. The folder is Third Party Apps 91 and the local password is 130820, not BYD6125F.

Stock USB is package-restricted

The analyzed installer allowlist permits com.mappls.auto.bydznav23 (Mappls navigation). Arbitrary APKs such as DashArc are not accepted by the stock India USB policy.

Therefore changing only the folder name or password does not make arbitrary sideloading possible on an India-configured stock unit.

Engineering menu / ADB

If *#91532547#* exposes the IMEI/password engineering screen, use BYD Secret, enable ADB and install outside the AftermarketInstallTool allowlist.

Compatible global 13.1.33 units

Only use this route when the version shown by the car starts with 13.1.33..

Download 13.1.33.2404.
Prepare BYDUpdatePackage\msm8953_64\UpdateFull.zip on a FAT32/exFAT USB drive.
After 2404 boots, pair Bluetooth and dial *#91532547#*.
Use BYD Secret with the IMEI digits shown by the head unit.
Enable Wireless adb debug switch and Debug mode when USB is connected.
Install PackageInstallerUnlocked.apk, then install normal APKs from File Manager or ADB.
