BYD UAE — App Sideloading Guide

Region-specific guide for BYD head units configured for the United Arab Emirates. DiLink 3 configuration uses country code 971 and a local USB password path unless a newer strategy overrides it.

Check the complete software version first. 13.1.32, 13.1.33 and 51.x are different firmware families.
Check your firmware version. Open Settings → System → Version / Software Details and note the full version, such as 13.1.33.xxxxxxx.x or 13.1.32.xxxxxxx.x. The method varies by firmware, chipset and vehicle; look up the matching combination before proceeding. This guide may not cover every combination.

INSTALLATION METHODS

USB — Third Party Apps 971

The reverse-engineered DiLink 3 installer configuration treats UAE as a local-password region with no APK allowlist.

  1. Format a USB drive as FAT32.
  2. Create Third Party Apps 971.
  3. Copy the APKs into it.
  4. Connect the drive to the data USB port.
  5. Enter BYD6125F when prompted.

Engineering menu → ADB

Pair Bluetooth, dial *#91532547#*, and if the IMEI/password screen appears use BYD Secret. Enable wireless/USB ADB and install normally.

Downgrade 2404 → ADB → Package Installer

Only use this route when the version shown by the car starts with 13.1.33..

  1. Download 13.1.33.2404.
  2. Prepare BYDUpdatePackage\msm8953_64\UpdateFull.zip on a FAT32/exFAT USB drive.
  3. After 2404 boots, pair Bluetooth and dial *#91532547#*.
  4. Use BYD Secret with the IMEI digits shown by the head unit.
  5. Enable Wireless adb debug switch and Debug mode when USB is connected.
  6. Install PackageInstallerUnlocked.apk, then install normal APKs from File Manager or ADB.

Middle East online verification

If the head unit is configured for BYD cloud verification rather than the local-password strategy, the Middle East/Africa verification backend is used. In that case the USB flow can request QR/cloud approval instead of accepting a local password.
